Reka is a young artist based in Switzerland who has always been drawn to making things with her hands — painting most of all. She's had no formal training; picking up a brush is less about technique for her and more about finding flow, a quiet place to just be.
Her subjects wander widely, from moody, mystic scenes lit by lantern-light to a whole series dedicated to the life of a capybara — because not everything has to be serious to be worth painting. If her work makes you smile as often as it makes you pause, that's exactly the idea.
"All children are born artists. The problem is to remain an artist as we grow up."
— Pablo Picasso
